Chennai - Mysore Shatabdi


Shatabdi Express with LHB Coaches

Chennai - Mysore Shatabdi Express is a Southern Railway train that connects Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu to Mysore, via Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. The Shatabdis each from Chennai Central and Mysore run daily except Tuesdays.


Both Train No. 2007/08 and 2027/28 run via Arakkonam and Jolarpettai. But Train No. 2027/28 covers the distance upto Bangalore only.


The train connects Chennai to Bangalore and Mysore, both being famous tourist spots of southern India. The complete route is as follows :

  1. The trains run as a day train, covering the distance of 500 km between Chennai - Mysore in 7 hours.
  2. Train no. 2007/08 does not stop at Katpadi, while Train no. 2027/28 runs upto Bangalore City
